EphUX Privacy
Effective May 9, 2026. EphUX is an early-access Bonacqui product. This policy covers the EphUX website and the EphUX browser extension.
The EphUX extension provides a local reasoning-integrity overlay for AI chat sessions. It reads visible page text only on supported AI-chat websites you explicitly enable, currently Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Copilot. The extension uses that text to detect local patterns such as drift, unsupported assertions, sycophancy, and instruction deviation.
In v0.1, EphUX does not transmit chat content, prompts, responses, page text, or detected evidence to Bonacqui or to any third-party AI service. Raw conversation text stays in the active browser tab and is not written to Chrome storage. EphUX stores extension settings, enabled-site choices, onboarding status, pause/snooze preferences, and temporary per-tab status needed to show the extension badge and popup.
EphUX does not sell extension user data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read user chat content. Extension data is handled only to provide the user-facing EphUX feature described in the extension listing and interface.
The EphUX website may involve ordinary traffic and security data handled by Cloudflare. If you choose to subscribe, payment and subscription data is handled by Stripe under Stripe's own services. Bonacqui may receive basic subscription status and contact details needed to provide support.
Future cloud features such as archive, sync, team review, cross-validation, or Lens assistance will be opt-in and described before activation. This policy will be updated before any such feature transmits extension content off-device.
