EphUX

Ephemeral experience layer

EphUX

A user-owned reasoning-integrity overlay for live AI sessions. Quiet by default, precise when it speaks.

The surface

Not a dashboard. A threshold surface.

EphUX materializes when a live AI session shows a reasoning-integrity pattern: sycophancy, drift, unsupported assertion, or instruction deviation. The surface gives evidence, offers a counter-prompt, and then gets out of the way.

  • Local-first detection in the browser.
  • Zero-retention mode by default.
  • User authority at every intervention level.
  • No claim to prove truth or replace judgment.

First vehicle

A browser extension for the AI surfaces people already use.

01

Observe

Reads chat text only on sites the user grants permission to.

02

Detect

Runs local heuristics for reasoning-integrity patterns.

03

Surface

Shows a compact overlay only when a threshold is crossed.

04

Return

Dissolves after the user dismisses, inspects, or applies a counter-prompt.

Early access

Help push EphUX from working prototype to public extension.

EphUX is in early build. Founder support helps fund the extension, cloud archive, Lens assist, and model-routing work without pretending the finished platform already exists.

Founders get early Pro access as features ship, direct feedback priority, and the satisfaction of being there before the thing had furniture.

Operating principles

The name is the interface doctrine.

Ephemeral. The interface exists only when the moment asks for it.

Evidence-first. EphUX reports what it observed, not what the user must believe.

User-owned. Notify and recommend by default. Rebuild always requires explicit approval.
